You take it from his hand and eat it gravely. The hunter is surprised by your avarice.

"Ho, lad! Hast thou taketh penance?"

You guess that he's asking if you've been fasting.

"I haven't eaten since yesterday morning."

The man breaks off another piece of bread, and takes a piece of cheese from his purse and hands them to you.

"Wherefore thou headed?"

"To the east"

"Unto what?"

"The Sword of Zameron"

"Wherefore thy sword?"

"To the east"

"Tis all thou knowest?"

Telling someone else makes your quest seem futile.

"Methinks thou tis inspired by spirits."

You don't understand what he means. Is he saying that you are foolish for pursuing this?

"Thy form tis of a knight given youth. Beware the magic waters of youth regained."

He's still talking about the fact that he thinks you're to young to be going on this quest. Then he puts his food away and starts gathering up his things. He stands up and whistles for his hounds.

"Thank-you for the food."

His two hounds yap around him. He hoists his birds to his shoulder, and starts walking north. It suddenly occurs to you that you could run after him, and ask to go with him. It would be good to return to human habitation. There will be more food there. If he's friendly, there are probably more friendly people there, even if not everyone is friendly. However, you can't let yourself get sidetracked from your quest. Don't let these feelings of futility cloud your judgement. You don't want Yavin to fall because you were distracted. Do you run after the hunter, and ask to come with him, yes or no?
