One thing you've learned is that you shouldn't mess with the unknown. You walk to the north, and then walk about the clump of trees on the north hand side. You stay about 50 feet from the creature. You notice its thick tangled deep purple fur and the shaggy light purple hair like yarn that hangs over its eyes. It continues grazing contently, never lifting up its head. It appears to be a very docile animal. A crow flies from the branches of one tree to another tree that happened to be closer to the animal. "Caw!", the crow squawked. This startles the beast which looks up at it. The crow falls to the ground. The beast returns to its grazing. The animal killed the crow by looking at it. You can't believe it. It has some sort of death stare or the evil eye. You try to peer at the dead crow in the grass. Again you can't believe what you see. The crow is white! How is that possible? You remember the statues of the wild boar and the robins. This creature can't possibly be turning these animals to stone. That's rediculous. Your train of thought is broken by the fact that the creature begins walking towards you. It's not delibrately walking towards you. It just happens to be headed to where you're headed. You think of your sword. You'll defend yourself if necessary. Maybe you should kill it. Of course, why head towards it? Why not avoid it if possible? Then again, perhaps the only way to avoid the danger is to kill it. The alternative would be to just try to walk around it. Do you attack the animal or just try to walk around it?
